by, "Neighbor" Mokena, IL, #34 Thursday Nov 1 [11/01/2007] QUOTE: "I'm Drew Petersons former neighbor and was still living on Pheasant Chase during his third wifes death in 2004. The investigation of Kathy's death was very weak and was hard to believe she drown in a bathtub. If you knew the amount of times the police were summoned to the home during the divorce, you would convict Drew Peterson immediatley. He was very calm and methodical but knew which buttons to push to throw Kathy over the edge. He would show up at Kathy's (third wife) house for visitation and would bring a camcorder. Kathy hated him so much, she would give him a hard time. In the meantime, he was trying to build his case against her using the camcorder as evidence of her bad behavior. The police sided with him of course. It was unbelievable. When she was found dead, not many of us were surprised. The finger was pointed immediately at Drew. He also had the nerve to show up at her funeral. I met Stacy before Kathy died, she seemed nice, but don't know much about her other than casual chat. Drew is a very low key, unassuming individual. It's kind of hard to believe he's capable but he has the knowledge and background to pull something like this off. By the way, he isn't a "well to do" indivudual. He gained from the life insurance policy at Kathy's death, and since the divorce was not finalized when she passed, the house went to him. He sold it for $350,000 immediately. Him and Stacy refused to live in their old house, so they purchased another home 2 blocks away."

Anyway, Steve C. was on the phone last night on Nancy Grace making all kinds of claims re: the relationship between Kathleen, Drew and Stacy He was spewing information a mile a minute and I thought to myself WHO REALLY IS THIS GUY??? I came to see if I could find a thread on him but to no avail.....his comments were "interesting" and perhaps warrant some discussion (or at the least provide some information for me - I am not as up on this case as I would like... ) transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0712/17/ng.01.htmlBROOKS: Because, you know, we had Ric Mims on, and he was apparently initially a supporter, but kind of -- after he didn`t agree and that he heard the timeline, he kind of said, Well, you know, I can`t really back you anymore. But you`re still backing Drew Peterson, and you think that what he`s saying is true. CARCERANO: Yes, I do. BROOKS: How -- how long have you known -- how long have you known Drew? CARCERANO: (INAUDIBLE) Drew since 1999, when he moved in two doors down from me with Kathleen Savio. BROOKS: Interesting. Now, he -- two doors down with Kathleen Savio. Now, Kathleen Savio, again, as everyone knows, is his wife number three, whose body was exhumed back on November 13. Now, her death was originally ruled an accidental drowning, but they exhumed the body of Kathleen Savio to, again, reexamine the body, perform another autopsy. In fact, there was the court-ordered autopsy and then an independent autopsy was done. What are you hearing, if anything, about this, Steve? CARCERANO: I haven`t heard anything in regards to the second autopsy that was done by the county. I have heard other people come forward, other than just Dr. Baden. Obviously, he did the third autopsy, which was independent. But Howard Oliver on your show, he said after the first -- reading the first autopsy, that he would view this as an accidental drowning, and he said that there`s no reason to believe that this is a homicide. So it`s kind of interesting that we`re getting conflicting results. BROOKS: Yes, we are getting conflicting results. Now, Steve, you`re a person who was with Drew back in 2004. Take us back to 2004, the day that Kathleen Savio`s body was found in this tub. You were there. Take us through that and tell us what happened. CARCERANO: He saw me in the street. I was coming home from work that evening. And he asked me to go to the house in the next 15 minutes because he had a locksmith coming over there. He was trying to drop off the kids for the past day-and-a-half. And he already contacted Mary, which was her best friend, to go over there. So I pulled up in my driveway. I went and got Mary, and me and Mary walked over to the house, and Drew and the locksmith were at the front of the house. And when the locksmith unlocked the door, Mary and I walked up the stairs, and that`s when we went into the bedroom. She went to the right by the bed, I went in the closet, and then I went into the bathroom. And that`s when I walked to the back of the bathroom and noticed -- again, I`m going to say a balloon-type object or an exercise ball. And when I looked down, it was Kathy. BROOKS: Now, I know it`s painful because you knew her and -- but what... CARCERANO: Absolutely. BROOKS: ... what condition -- I know -- you know, I`m an -- I was an investigator for a long time. What kind of condition did you see her in? CARCERANO: I see that her skin discoloring. It was like a bluish purple color. Her hair was, you know, drawn over her face and it was wet. And you know, out of, you know, respect, you know, right away, I yelled for Mary. Mary came in the bathroom, and then when she started yelling after seeing her, that`s when Drew came flying up the stairs. But out of respect, because, you know, Kathy is a woman and that`s Drew`s, you know...

I haven't like Steve Carcerano since the beginning. I think one of the very telling things thats happened is when Geraldo interviewed the Savio family, and then asked Steve Carcerano to relate how he found Kathleen. The niece and nephew of Kathleen listened to Steve tell his story and came unglued saying "who is this guy - this is the first we've heard of him being the one that found Aunt Kitty." They were very obviously upset, and asked Steve, 'how did you get involved in this?" Steve's demeanor was strange......can't quite put my finger on it......but extremely defensive. I got the feeling then that there was something very wrong with all this.
Steve Carcerano was there when Kathleen was found - he was there when there was an altercation between Kathleen and Stacy - he was there when Kathleen supposedly hit DP. It seems that Steve is always there as a witness for DP. Steve didn't live next door to Kathleen, as there was a house in between his and Kathleens. Kathleen's best friend, Mary, lived next door. Yet, we haven't heard anything from Mary about the events of that night when Kathleen was found dead, and she was the other person who went in the house with Steve. None of the other neighbors have come forward with things they may have witnessed.

Nancy Grace, Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 Discussion of judge refusing to return items and guns, and cell phone pings. Interview with Steve Carcerano, friend of Drew's about Kathleen Savio and allegations of abuse. Also, discussion with Robi Ludwig, about the psychology of Drew and his kids. transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0712/17/ng.01.htmlExcerpts: Quote: ...Dr. Robi, thanks for being with us. We are getting towards the holiday season now. You`ve heard what Steve just had to say. He does, I still love her, I want her back, there might be some explaining to do. But now you know, we are hearing that the kids don`t even mention her. What do you take away from that? ROBI LUDWIG, PSYCHOTHERAPIST: Oh, I mean, the kids are very young, and so they might sense from their father that it`s not a topic that is OK to talk about. They might be afraid of their father. They could be grieving and not have the right words in order to express their grief, which is very typical of younger kids. ...Dr. Robi, you heard what Steve Carcerano said, that Drew Peterson, he kind of laughs when he`s nervous. I have heard that before. Do people really laugh when they`re nervous? LUDWIG: Sure, I mean, there are all different kinds of nervous ticks, but the problem with Drew Peterson is it`s not just the nervous laugh that casts him in a bad light. He seems to be a legend in his own mind. He appears to like the cameras, he almost seems to have patterned himself after Scott Peterson, remember him? The other spousal killer. He even named his daughter Laci Peterson, after the whole Laci Peterson debacle and situation. So there`s something about this man that appears to like being in the limelight. He likes the attention and he has a long history of having negative relationships with women. He has a dead wife that was presumed a murder, so it doesn`t look good. It`s not just the laughter. Quote: ...CARCERANO: Yes. There was two different altercations that I witnessed that the police showed up for. But other than those two, I did not know anything about any abusive relationship or him hitting her or anything like that. I believe 9 out of the 18 were also visitation-type calls, where he would drop off the kids five minutes late, and she would call the police and then they would come over and file a report. So, you know, that was, I believe, half of those. BROOKS: Interesting. Now -- now, the two that you were witness -- that you say you witnessed, tell us about those. CARCERANO: We were trying to -- it was myself and a neighbor. We were moving Drew`s stuff out of the house because he was moving into the house down the street, in which he lives now. And at that point, Kathy was kind of chasing him around the garage. It sounds funny, but it`s true. And she was hitting him with an electrical cord, an extension cord. And then, you know, she slapped him in the face right in front of me and the other neighbor. And when I said, Kathy, why are you doing that? And Drew said, Did you see that? Did you see that? And then she spit in his face. And you know, he was very calm and just said, Did you see that? And that was it, and we kept going about the business and getting the stuff out. That was the one altercation. The other one... BROOKS: Now, when was that? What timeframe was that we`re talking about now? CARCERANO: That`s -- it`s documented on the police report. I don`t know the exact month or anything. But that was the day that we were moving his stuff out of the house. BROOKS: OK. CARCERANO: And then the police were called and there was a report filed. *snip* ...CARCERANO: The other incident, I was in my driveway in our family car. I was waiting for my wife and kids to come out. We were going to a family function. And I noticed Drew and Stacy pulled up in the driveway, and they were dropping off the kids. And I saw Kathy come running out of the front door of the house, and she lunged through the passenger window with her right fist. And that`s where Stacy was sitting. And at that (INAUDIBLE) I jumped out of my truck, went towards them. Kathy ran back in the house, and Drew said, Did you see that? I said, yes, what`s going on? And he called the police. And at that time, the garage door opened up. Kathy came running out of the garage again. Drew`s back was towards the house. And she got in the truck and she tried to back down the driveway with Stacy and the kids in the car. And... (CROSSTALK) BROOKS: So Kathleen jumped into the truck and backed down the driveway? CARCERANO: Yes. Yes. And at that point, Drew took her out of the vehicle, placed her down into the grass and then put her -- put his knee on her and then lifted her arm up behind her back and cocked her wrist back. And it was subduing her. And she was yelling and screaming, Steve, get him off me. Steve, get him off me. And again, he was not, you know, using excessive force. He was keeping her subdued... BROOKS: Right. CARCERANO: ... like a police officer would. (INAUDIBLE) maybe I would have jumped in, but I want everybody to know that, you know, he was not beating her up or anything, which are some of the stories out there that`s ludicrous. And then my wife came over there. And Kathy was yelling (INAUDIBLE) to go inside (INAUDIBLE) her friend, which was in the house. BROOKS: Right. CARCERANO: It was a male. And I told my wife, as well as Drew said, Don`t go in there, because then it would have really gotten crazy, so... *snip* ...BROOKS: I want to go back out to Steve Carcerano. Steve, do the children ever talk about her? And has Drew, has he put up any Christmas decorations? How is he handling the whole Christmas thing with the kids? CARCERANO: Well, I`ve been in his house, like I said, and the 2- and 4-year-old, they don`t really say much about Stacy, they`re just running around playing. The two older ones, 13 and 14, Chris and Tommy, they were -- about two weeks ago I was at his house and we were watching the -- I can`t remember what program it was, but it had Stacy`s two sisters on there and they were talking about two different times, one that he supposedly pushed her down the stairs and another one he pushed her against the wall. Both kids jumped off the couch and said, dad, that`s not true, we`ve never seen that happen. And he said, kids I just can`t win. So that type of stuff gets him mad because they are false accusations as far as he is concerned. And the kids were right there, I have seen the 13- and 14-year- old say that right in front of me, so.

According to Steve Carcerano, 'Mary' lives in the house between Steve and the former Peterson/Savio house. He said it on Nancy Grace show the other night. We have the transcript. I watched the Nancy Grace program too, and that's the way I understood it. Mary's house is in between the Carcerano house and the Savio house. Imagine if you will.............. Carcerano house; Mary's house; Savio house; house Yet..........the only person we're hearing from is Steve Carcerano, and he's one house removed from the Savio house. Mary, living right next door to the Savio house and also being Kathleen Savio's best friend, would be in a much better position to hear or see something happening. Mary allegedly was also present in the house the night Kathleen Savio's body was found. Yet........there's been no interviews with her and no information about her. WHY? There's only two things I can think of. One.......she's afraid of DP and is refusing interviews. Two.......is talking directly to LE and has been asked to keep what she knows confidential. She may know a lot. Where are the other neighbors? Certainly the neighbors who live on the other side of the Savio house......the ones I've given to, saw or heard something over the years. And what about people living directly across the street? I don't think Steve's wife, Marghertia/Margherita would have Mary as a nickname. It's more likely Marg, Margie, Margo or something along

07/18/2002 Bolingbrook Police Incident Report filed by Kathleen Savio of July 5, 2002 "Criminal Trespassing," "Unlawful Restraint" "Domestic Battery" filed against Drew Peterson (Transcribed by http://www.acandyrose.com) "Kathleen advised that she again told him to go, he said that he would go when he wanted and then he looked out the window. He thew one of her garage door openers down and he left the residence. She then called her attorney Harris Smith, her friend Steve Maniaci, her sister Susie Lizak and her neighbor Mary Ponterilli. She advised that her attorney advised her to file a report but she was afraid to file because she believed Drew was unstable and had warned her that if she called anyone he would deny it. During the time of the incident Kathleen advised that three times the telephone rang but Drew would not allow her to answer it. Those calls she later learned were from her sister Susan Lizak, the next door neighbor child, 12-year-old Nicki and her friend Steve Maniaci." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Kathleen also mentioned a previously unreported incident where Drew cut a hole in the drywall in the garage to gain entry into the family room. Also, a time where he was living in the basement and while she was gone cut a hole in her bedroom door to gain entry and removed jewelry and money. I observed the drywall and door. She advised that Drew later gave her back the pair of earrings when he came to the house with another unidentified police officer to have her sign a legal document, at which time he returned the earrings to her. She advised that she did not file police reports on either of these incidents but did advise her attorney. She also mentioned that she had given Drew's tuxedo to her neighbor, Tom, to hold for her and that Drew had threatened Tom with a search warrant if he did not return his tuxedo, at which time Tom gave Drew the tuxedo back." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Later this date I spoke with Mary A. Pontarelli (BLACKED OUT AREA) She advised the following summary. (BLACKED OUT AREA)"

Who all did Drew invite to Kathleen's the night she died? 1) Drew Peterson 2) The Locksmith (??) 3) Steve Carcerano 4) Mary (neighbor) 5) Mary's husband 6) Mary's Son Carcerano said the locksmith and Drew were at Kathleen's house when he got there. ILL STEVE CARCERANO, DREW PETERSON'S NEIGHBOR: "That night I, was coming home from work. It was about 9:00, 9:30, and I was coming down the street. And Drew was accosting (ph) me on the street. He actually stopped me and said, I need you to go to the house in the next 10 to 15 minutes. I have a locksmith coming over there. Mary, her friend, he contacted to go over there. He said he he`d been trying to drop off the kids for the past day-and- a-half and she hasn`t been responding. So I pulled up in the driveway, and I went next door to get Mary, and then we proceeded over to the house. And the locksmith and Drew were there. The locksmith opened up the door. Mary and I went up the stairs. Drew stayed downstairs by the door. And Mary`s husband and son went into the (INAUDIBLE) to see if the car was there. We went up the stairs and went into the bedroom. Mary veered off to the right and went to the bed because the covers were kind of puffed up, ruffled over, and I went into the closet ..." - "And then I went into the bathroom, and that`s when I noticed a balloon-type object in the tub"

steve used to have a problem, and he probably still has this problem... it's called gambling. a couple years back steve was in a huge bind and almost lost everything he owned... guess which infamous former police sergeant helped steve get rid of his problems and guess who steve is now helping to get rid of their problems??.
