pumps located on plant property. Condenser cooling water is
taken from and returned to the Chicago Sanitary and Ship
Canal.
Coal delivered by unit train by the Elgin, Joliet & Eastern
Railway Company from interchange points with the Union
Pacific or Burlington Northern/Santa Fe.
Will County is a transfer point and supplies coal to the
Crawford and Fisk Stations in Chicago via barge delivery.
Coal is conveyed to the active coal pile via radial stacker.
From active storage it is fed via underground hoppers and
blended for delivery to Will Countyfs bunkers or to the barge
loader.
