JACOBSON: Thomas Morphey’s going to claim tomorrow on Good Morning America that you tried to get him to rent a storage locker the day before Stacy disappeared.
PETERSON: No.
JACOBSON: And that he didn’t have his ID with him. Did you ever go to a storage facility?
BRODSKY: Go ahead and answer.
JACOBSON: Just tell the truth.
PETERSON: Yeah, I was going, looking for storage facilities because if you look in my garage, you can’t move in my garage.
JACOBSON: So that happened the day before she disappeared.
PETERSON: The day before she disappeared I picked him up to go for a job interview for him but he was so drunk and intoxicated that I couldn’t take him to the interview.
JACOBSON: Where was the interview?
PETERSON: It was a grocery store in Bolingbrook.
JACOBSON: OK. So after that you went to a storage facility?
PETERSON: We were just driving around talking, and I stopped into one, yes.
JACOBSON: Where was this one?
PETERSON: It was ah…in Bolingbrook. On the South end of Bolingbrook.
JACOBSON: Off of Boughton Road?
PETERSON: No, off of Route 53.
JACOBSON: OK, so you did go to the storage facility and you did try to rent a locker?
PETERSON: No, I just went there to inquire about renting a unit.
JACOBSON: OK. And it had nothing to do with Stacy. To allegedly store a body and…
PETERSON: Nothing at all.
JACOBSON: Wait until things died down…
PETERSON: No, I was gonna put tires in there.
JACOBSON: Pin the murder on him?
PETERSON: No. No.
JACOBSON: Why didn’t you rent a locker then?
PETERSON: Well, this stuff came up and it wasn’t a matter-of-fact thing. It wasn’t something that I deliberately had to get done right away. But I wanted to clean my garage up a little bit.
PINKUS: Mr. Brodsky, do you think it’s ever going to die down, this case? Maybe after you’re not on TV and all that other stuff like the guy that Amy used to investigate, that Stebic guy? He hasn’t said nothing, gone no one, talked to no one, did nothing. They don’t even talk about him. You guys took over.
JACOBSON: Yeah, but he’s a suspect. Drew Peterson’s a suspect. You’re a suspect in Kathleen’s and Stacy’s or just Kathleen’s?
PETERSON: I don’t know what they’re officially calling me now.
PINKUS: Person of interest?
JACOBSON: No, that’s Stebic’s a person of interest. You’re a suspect. But I don’t know for which. I’m sorry. Excuse my ignorance, but I don’t know if it’s for Kathleen or for Stacy.
PETERSON: I guess I’m a suspect.
BRODSKY: You’re a…he’s a suspect in Stacy’s disappearance, which I don’t understand because disappearing is not a crime.
